Sunday by Sandnes is the thinnest 100% merino wool yarn and is perfect as a base yarn. It is thin and not superwash treated and can be knitted single or double. It also works very well in combination with Tynn Silk Mohair.

The special structure of merino wool fibers makes the yarn not only insulating, but also able to wick moisture away from the body and retain warmth even when damp. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it feels damp.

For gentle machine washing, the manufacturer recommends washing all wool pieces separately in the wool wash program to treat them as gently as possible. Hand-knitted pieces should be spun briefly and dried lying flat on a towel to avoid felting. Please avoid washing hand-knitted pieces in laundry nets or wash bags, as this can cause friction and cause the piece to felt.

For hand-knitted garments, we recommend gentle hand washing in hand-warm water. In our care range we offer special products for this purpose.
