Silky Grace does not bear this name without reason. A thoroughly noble yarn, which feels like a little cloud in your hands due to the high silk content. It gives your knitwear an absolute lightness, but also brings a bit of stability. It is perfect for cardigans like the Girlfriends Cardigan by Anke Strick and Chris Berlin Knits or for wonderful cuddly scarves like the Sophie Scarf by PetiteKnit.
The yarn consists of a fantastic composition of 70% silk and 30% virgin wool Merino Superfine and has a run length of 200 meters per 50g. The fluff creates a knitted pattern in fingering - sport gauge, depending on the needle size.
The dyeing is semi solid - mottled.
For larger knitting pieces I recommend to knit the yarn columns alternately to get an even knitting pattern in the color distribution.
The yarn was dyed with acid dyes and then cold hand washed and rinsed. Color bleeding may still occur, especially with dark colors. I recommend washing the yarn or the resulting knitted piece, again separately. For this purpose, we offer further articles in the Care section.
If multicolored knits are created, with dark and light colors, I recommend to make a sample beforehand and wash it cold by hand. The use of a commercial color detergent or fabric softener is not recommended.
Each skein is unique and is lovingly hand-dyed - no two skeins are alike.
A high quality SLR camera was used for the pictorial representation. It is close to our heart to represent the yarns in correct colors, but no yarn can be given to color deviations from monitor and original goods.
Weight and running length: 50 g = 200 meters, needle size 3.5-4.5. The weight may vary slightly due to the respective moisture content of the yarn. The length of course remains the same.
